Growing up in the US, it was a given that I had a clothes dryer (an efficient, QUICK one-like 30-40mins), not a condensation dryer that takes 3 hours to dry a small amount of clothes. I always dry towels and jeans, heavy stuff outside, always in Sao Paulo. But it IS a cultural thing. I lived in Brasil/RIO for almost 10 years without a clothes dryer, waiting 3 days (in cooler weather) for my clothes to dry and smell moldy (mofo). Sao Paulo I do a lot more (we have a diarista once a week) and I do NOT like ironing. As you said, Joao's uniforms need to be perfectly ironed, Nic too has school uniforms. My nightmare, constant ironing!!! I hope you get to POA soon. Paris is not the worst place to be stuck in I think? If you need to hang your laundry outside, OK! I think it is the norm. But I know it is a different reality being on your varanda and not in an empregada area!!! bjosssssStephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16157534345604450915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3011611631534762644.post-11822084840543424592014-09-22T18:13:40.319-07:002014-09-22T18:13:40.319-07:00É, meninas, mas parece que no inverno não vai ser ...É, meninas, mas parece que no inverno não vai ser possível aproveitar a varanda pra secar as roupas...acho que vou colocar pra secar em um varalzinho dobrável dentro de casa e aproveitar a secura do ar-condicionado! Passo roupa, sim, Michele! Tu nem imaginas como é "bom" passar uniforme de marido! Nunca acerto um vinco de calça! kkkkkk!!!
